Guide to 99 on non combat skills! Empty Guide to 99 on non combat skills!

Post by blackendfire Mon Mar 16, 2009 10:14 pm

After one week of no lifeing it lol! I managed to get all of the non combat skills to 99 (the free ones that is). Some of the skills are very basic and dont need a great amount of exsplination. If i messed up on something please inform me and I will do my best to fix my problem. So with out further adue....

Mining: Mining is a pain in the but and takes a good wile (well took me a long time). You will need 1m for suplies. At home go threw the blue portal, then talk to the tokkul exchange guy he will sell you your pick axes. buy one of each (it will cost you your 1m for all). Next bank all of your picks except iron (but dont equipt it). next go to the training area and head further into the cave. You should see 2 iron rocks a little after the cage. Right click and select use on your iron pick. Then click on the iron rocks and you shold get iron ore. Now the first level is a little slow but dont worry it will pick up. At 30 you will USE a steel pick on coal, 50 is mith pick on mith, 60-65 is addy pick on addy, and 75 is rune pick on rune. Im sad to say that from 75-99 it will take around 3,200 ores Crying or Very sad

Smithing: For me I did bronze from 1-55, but scence you can not make bronze any more (idk why). I recomend getting 99 mining befor you try for smithing. Aparently you can smelt anything at level 1. So get 99 mining then make rune bars from 1-99. I found out that 71-99 is about 1,300 rune bars, wich leaves you with 1,900 rune ores to help you get from 1-71 lol. To smelt I recomend going to Alkida by typeing ::shant then heading north (quickly because its a wildy area at first and there is dust devils that can hit 60s affraid ). The are is wildy at first but it becomes safe a little ways up. If you dont trust it you can allways go to Fally. Smelting is like mining but all you have to do is use each ore on the furnis. Bring only 27 ores because you will loose your first bar (idk why)

Theif: Theif is one of those basic skills to 99 Wink I recomend steeling mantas from the fish stall at home for 2 reasons. 1) you can use them for cooking, 2) Is free food for later on when you train combat. Razz

Cooking: Cooking is extreemly basic. Cook the mantas you got from theif or other fish you get from fishing. It wont take you any time at all to get 99.

Fishing: Yet again another basic. There are 4 white portals at home, take eather the first or last portal. If you end up on a dock then your in the right place Razz You will fish shrimp from 1-40, lobsters from 40-70/75 I cant remember, and then shakrs from 70/75-99. At 99 you can fish mantas lol

Woodcutting: Woodcutting is basic but still needs some exsplination. All you need is an axe and know a good place with lots of normal trees. Normal trees will get you 99 the quickest but the leest amount of money. If your going for money then this will help you. Normal trees give you 150gp, Oak will give you 500gp, Willows at level 35 give you 1,500gp, Maples at 45 will give you 5k (a bit on the slow side though), Yews will give you 12k, Magic gives you 25k (very slow).

Farming: Farming is very fast and cheep. All you need is rufly 20k. Head to the farming area and buy 1 of every seed, now eather keep the 1 of every seed in you inventory or right down the level need to plant them. To find out the level needed use the seeds on any of the farming patches by the shop. You should zip threw the first several realy fast so you wont need as many seeds to level. As you go on you will need more seeds to level but it wont be hardly any at all. When you plant them you will get herbs (they dont stack like the seeds). I suggest that you just bank the herbs untill your done then note them and drop them.

Slayer: Just kick that stupid chest! lol!

Fletching: I didnt realy pay atention to doing this skill because I had soo much adrenalin trying not to get pked pale What I did find out is that mages are not worth the money!! Fletching is like woodcutting (level wise that is). You will make long bows every time (you have no choice in the matter) Once you get to ruffly 75 (or were ever you start yews) and make Yews all the way to 99.

Thank you for reading my guide I hope it helped geek
