i recently got involved in pattonscape at a friends house but when i tried to get on at home i couldnt get anything to load. my dad (a software programer)
took a look at it and said we needed to upgrade the java for it to work. but our machines dont support java 5 so i was wondering if thats a hard set setting or what. (also suggesting a way that players that are behind on the tech curve can play.) i dont know all the in's and out's of it all but throwing the suggestion out there...

my crappy windows 98 runs java 5 so he would need a 97 or 96 for it not to run, But even then u can install Windows xp into your hard drive, also your computer may not have the software go to www.windows.com and or if u have a dell www.dell.com and Download all the latest updates For Spam blockers and such, Along side Windows programs if that dosn't work then i advice buying a new computer =)

Edit: also if you cant afford windows xp 2000 or vista download limewire from limewire.com and download a cracked version of the CD's

Downloading vista from limewire is very unsafe Get Utorrent then go to mininova.org and download a cracked vista file from there which has positive comments on them

ive got 2k but firefox doesnt support java 5. so my dad said we would have to download IE 6 and update java, but he said that it had reported errors.

but looking up my own research on java 5 it looks to me that the only issues that might happen are with the items written in 5, and it wouldnt affect other
stuff that other people using the computer would use Right? so 5 could be installed and pattonscape would work and all other functions would operate normally? thanks guys.
